Chapter 31 | Punishment of performing short prostrations
أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُکَیْرٍ عَنْ زُرَارَهَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ ع یَقُولُ دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ مَسْجِداً فِیهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص فَخَفَّفَ سُجُودَهُ دُونَ مَا یَنْبَغِی وَ دُونَ مَا یَکُونُ مِنَ السُّجُودِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص نَقَرَ کَنَقْرِ الْغُرَابِ لَوْ مَاتَ مَاتَ عَلَی غَیْرِ دِینِ مُحَمَّدٍ ص.
1. It is narrated that Imam Muhammad Baqir said, “A person went to a mosque where the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) was also present. He performed short prostrations without caring for what is obligatory in a prostration. The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said that the person was pecking like a crow. If that person dies, “he will die following any other religion except the religion of Muhammad.”
