Chapter 35 | Punishment of not standing in proper row behind Imam
أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ أَبِی الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ حَفْصٍ عَنْ أَبِی بَصِیرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع یَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص قَالَ: یَا أَیُّهَا النَّاسُ أَقِیمُوا صُفُوفَکُمْ وَ امْسَحُوا بِمَنَاکِبِکُمْ لِئَلَّا یَکُونَ فِیکُمْ خَلَلٌ وَ لَا تُخَالِفُوا فَیُخَالِفَ اللَّهُ بَیْنَ قُلُوبِکُمْ وَ إِنِّی أَرَاکُمْ مِنْ خَلْفِی.
1. My father said: it was narrated to me by Sa’d b. Abdillah from Muhammad b. al-Hussain b. Abi al-Khattab from Wahab b. Hafs from Abi Basir who said I heard Aba Abdillah say: The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) said: “O people! Make your rows proper. Your shoulders should touch that of the people standing beside you. There should be no gap between two persons. Don’t remain aloof from a row so that Allah does not create difference between you people. Know that I am seeing the people who create differences among you.”
