The Rewards & Punishments of Deeds · Hadith 903 (#Ḥadīth #3)

وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِیٍّ الْکُوفِیِّ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ عَنِ ابْنِ مُسْکَانَ عَنْ أَبِی بَصِیرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ لِی أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ع مَا خَدَعُوکَ عَنْ شَیْ ءٍ فَلَا یَخْدَعُونَکَ عَنِ الْعَصْرِ صَلِّهَا وَ الشَّمْسُ صَافِیَهٌ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص قَالَ الموتر [الْمَوْتُورُ] أَهْلَهُ وَ مَالَهُ مَنْ ضَیَّعَ صَلَاهَ الْعَصْرِ قُلْتُ وَ مَا الموتر [الْمَوْتُورُ] أَهْلَهُ وَ مَالَهُ قَالَ لَا یَکُونُ لَهُ أَهْلٌ وَ لَا مَالٌ فِی الْجَنَّهِ قُلْتُ وَ مَا تَضْیِیعُهَا قَالَ یَدَعُهَا وَ اللَّهِ حَتَّی تَصْفَرَّ الشَّمْسُ أَوْ تَغِیبَ.

3. And from the previous chain from Muhammad b. Ali al-Kufi from Ali b. al-Nu’man from Ibn Muskan from Abi Basir who said: a person who wastes Asr Prayer will be without relatives and wealth.” The narrator asked, “Who is one without relatives and wealth?” Imam replied, “He is one who has neither any relatives nor any wealth in Paradise.” The narrator asked, “What is meant by wasting Salaat?” Imam replied, “It means not offering it during the time between noon and sunset.”
