Chapter 61 | Punishment of blaming a believing man or woman falsely

حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی الْحُسَیْنُ بْنُ أَبَانٍ عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ سَعِیدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَهَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُکَیْرٍ عَنْ أَبِی بَصِیرٍ عَنْ أَبِی جَعْفَرٍ ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص سِبَابُ الْمُؤْمِنِ فُسُوقٌ وَ قِتَالُهُ کُفْرٌ وَ أَکْلُ لَحْمِهِ مَعْصِیَهُ اللَّهِ.

2. Imam Muhammad Baqir narrates that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “Abusing a believer, doing hypocrisy and killing him is disbelief. And eating his flesh (Backbiting) is disobedience of Allah.”
