Chapter 70 | Punishment of betrayal of trust, theft, drinking wine and fornication

أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ یَعْقُوبَ بْنِ یَزِیدَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِی عُمَیْرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ سُلَیْمَانَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: مُدْمِنُ الْخَمْرِ یَلْقَی اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ کَعَابِدِ وَثَنٍ وَ مَنْ شَرِبَ مِنْهُ شَرْبَهً- لَمْ یَقْبَلِ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ صَلَاتَهُ أَرْبَعِینَ یَوْماً.

2. My father said: it was narrated to me by Abdillah b. Ja’far from Ya’qub b. Yazid from Muhammad b. Abi ’Umayr from Hisham b. Salim from Sulayman b. Khalid from Abi Abdillah who said: “A person who drinks wine will meet Allah along with an idol-worshipper. Allah will not accept the Salaat for forty days of a person who drinks wine once.”
