Chapter 70 | Punishment of betrayal of trust, theft, drinking wine and fornication
حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَبَانٍ عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ سَعِیدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِی عُمَیْرٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِیلَ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِی جَعْفَرٍ ع قَالَ: سَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ أَصْلَحَکَ اللَّهُ شُرْبُ الْخَمْرِ شَرٌّ أَمْ تَرْکُ الصَّلَاهِ فَقَالَ شُرْبُ الْخَمْرِ ثُمَّ قَالَ وَ تَدْرِی لِمَ ذَاکَ قَالَ لَا قَالَ لِأَنَّهُ یَصِیرُ فِی حَالٍ لَا یَعْرِفُ رَبَّهُ.
3. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hassan who said it was narrated to me by Muhammad b. al-Hussain b. al-Hassan b. Aban from al-Hussain b. Sa’eed from Ibn Abi ’Umayr from Ismail b. Salim from Abi Ja’far who said: “Because his condition becomes such that he cannot recognize his Lord.”
