Chapter 70 | Punishment of betrayal of trust, theft, drinking wine and fornication

وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِیٍّ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِیسَی عَنِ ابْنِ مُسْکَانَ عَمَّنْ رَوَاهُ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: [إِنَ] اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ جَعَلَ لِلشَّرِّ أَقْفَالًا وَ جَعَلَ مَفَاتِیحَ تِلْکَ الْأَقْفَالِ الشَّرَابَ وَ أَشَرُّ مِنَ الشَّرَابِ الْکَذِبُ.

8. And from the previous chain from al-Hassan b. Ali from Uthman b. Isa from Ibn Muskan from the one who narrated it from Abi Abdillah who said: “Surely the Almighty Allah has created locks for polytheism and the key to those locks is wine. There is more evil in lying than in alcohol.”
