Chapter 70 | Punishment of betrayal of trust, theft, drinking wine and fornication
أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی یَعْقُوبُ بْنُ یَزِیدَ عَنْ أَبِی مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَنْصَارِیِّ عَنِ ابْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْحَثَی فَقَالَ الْحَثَی حَرَامٌ وَ شَارِبُهُ کَشَارِبِ الْخَمْرِ.
17. My father said: it was narrated to me by Sa’d b. Abdillah who said it was narrated to me by Ya’qub b. Yazid from Abi Muhammad al-Ansari from Ibn Sinan from Abi Abdillah who said: The narrator asked Imam Ja’far Sadiq regarding alcohol (Khunsa). Imam replied, “Khunsa is prohibited and one who drinks it, is like one who drinks wine.”
