Chapter 74 | Punishment of having an intention to commit a sin openly among believers

حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنْ یَعْقُوبَ بْنِ یَزِیدَ عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِیلَ عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مَنْ أَذَاعَ فَاحِشَهً کَانَ کَمُبْتَدِئِهَا وَ مَنْ عَیَّرَ مُؤْمِناً بِشَیْ ءٍ لَا یَمُوتُ حَتَّی یَرْکَبَهُ.

2. Imam Ja’far Sadiq narrates that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “One who spreads scandal is like one who started it. One who hurts a believer in any way will not die until he has faced the same calamity.”
