Chapter 76 | Punishment of clashing with an oppressive ruler without any cause

حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِیٍّ مَاجِیلَوَیْهِ عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِیٍّ الْکُوفِیِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنِ الْمُفَضَّلِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع یَا مُفَضَّلُ إِنَّهُ مَنْ تَعَرَّضَ لِسُلْطَانٍ جَائِرٍ فَأَصَابَتْهُ بَلِیَّهٌ لَمْ یُؤْجَرْ عَلَیْهَا وَ لَمْ یُرْزَقِ التَّصَبُّرَ عَلَیْهَا.

1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq said, “O Mufaddal! One who clashes with an oppressive ruler without any cause, will not be saved in his bad times and even his patience will not serve him as his sustenance.”
