The Rewards & Punishments of Deeds · Hadith 995 (#Ḥadīth #5)

حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِیٍّ مَاجِیلَوَیْهِ عَنْ عَمِّهِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِی الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِیٍّ الْکُوفِیِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ خَلَفِ بْنِ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ رِبْعِیٍّ عَنِ الْفُضَیْلِ بْنِ یَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: إِذَا أَخَذَ الْقَوْمُ فِی مَعْصِیَهِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فَإِنْ کَانُوا رُکْبَاناً کَانُوا مِنْ خَیْلِ إِبْلِیسَ وَ إِنْ کَانُوا رَجَّالَهً کَانُوا مِنْ رَجَّالَتِهِ.

5. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. Ali Majluwayh from his uncle Muhammad b. Abi al-Qasim from Muhammad b. Ali al-Kufi from Muhammad b. Sinan from Hamad b. Uthman from Khalaf b. Hamad from Rib’i from al-Fudhayl b. Yasar from Abi Abdillah who said: “When some people of a community start disobeying Allah, they will be the army of Iblees whether they ride or walk.”
