The Source of Traditions on Imam al-Riḍā (Vol 1) · Hadith 48 (#Ḥadīth #6)

6 - حَدَّثَنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى العَطَّارُ رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا أَبي، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَبي الخَطَّابِ، عَنِ الحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ، عَنْ أَبي الجارُودِ، عَنْ أَبي جَعْفَرٍ a.sُ، عَنْ جابِر بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الأَنْصارِيِّ قالَ: دَخَلْتُ عَلَى فاطِمَةَ عَلَيْهَا السَّلاَمُ وَبَيْنَ يَدَيْها لَوْحٌ فِيهِ أَسْماءُ الأَوْصِياءِ فَعَدَدْتُ اثْنِي عَشَرَ، آخِرُهُمُ القائِمُ، ثَلاثَةً مِنْهُمْ مُحَمَّدٌ، وَأَرْبَعَةٌ مِنْهُمْ عَلِيٌّ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلاَمُ.

6-6 Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Attar - may God be pleased with him - narrated that his father quoted on the authority of Muhammad ibn Al-Hussein ibn Abil Khattab, on the authority of Al-Hassan ibn Mahboob, on the authority of Abil Jarood, on the authority of Abi Ja’far (s), on the authority of Jabir ibn Abdullah Al-Ansari, “I went to see (the Blessed Lady) Fatima (s). There was a tablet in front of her in which there were the names of the Trustees. There were twelve names - the last one of which is the Riser. Three of them were Muhammad (s) and four of them were Ali (s).”
