The Source of Traditions on Imam al-Riḍā (Vol 1) · Hadith 57 (#Ḥadīth #15)

15 - حَدَّثَنا أَبُو القاسِمِ عَبْدِ اللَّه بْنِ مُحَمَّد الصائِغُ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا الحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِىٍّ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا شَيْخٌ بِبَغْدادَ: يُقالُ لَهُ: يَحْيَى سَقَطَ عَنِّي اِسْمُ أَبِيهِ قالَ: عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنِ بَكْرٍ السَّهْمِيُّ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا حاتَمُ بْنِ أَبي صَغِيرَةِ، عَنْ [أَبي] بُجِيرٍ، قالَ: كانَ أَبُو الخُلْدِ جارِي فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ وَيَحْلِفُ عَلَيْهِ إِنَّ هذِهِ الاُمَّةَ لا تَهْلِكُ حَتّى تَكُونَ فِيها اثْنا عَشَر خَلِيفَةً، كُلَّهُمْ يَعْمَلُ بِالْهُدى وَدِينِ الحَقَّ.

6-15 Abul Qasim Abdullah ibn Muhammad al-Sa’igh narrated that Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Sa’eed quoted on the authority of Al-Hassan ibn Ali, on the authority of the Sheikh in Baghdad, on the authority of Yahya - whose father’s name I have forgotten, on the authority of Abdullah ibn Bakr As-Sahmy, on the authority of Hatam ibn Abi Mugheera, on the authority of (Abi) Bojayr, “A man called Abul Khold was my neighbor. I heard him swear and say, ‘Indeed this nation will not terminate until twelve Caliphs - all of whom act according to the right religion and guidance - appear amongst them.’”
