123 - وَبِهذَا الإِسنادِ عَنْ عَلِىِّ بْنِ أَبِي طالِب عَلَيْهِالسَّلامُ قالَ: كُنّا مَعَ النَّبيِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ فِي حَفرِ الخَندَقِ إِذْ جاءَتهُ فاطِمَةُ وَمَعَها كَسرَةُ خُبزٍ؛ فَدَفَعَتها إِلَى النَّبيِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ، فَقالَ النَّبِيُّ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلاةُ وَالسَّلامُ: ما هذِهِ الكَسرَةُ؟ قالَتْ: قُرَصاً خَبَزتُها لِلْحَسَن وَالحُسَيْنِ جِئتُكَ مِنْها بِهذِهِ الكَسرَةِ؛ فَقالَ النَّبِيُ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: أما إِنَّهُ أَوَّلُ طَعامٍ دَخَلَ فَمَ أَبِيكَ مُنْذُ ثَلاثَ.

31-123 According to the same documentation, Ali ibn Abi Talib said, “I was with the Prophet (S) digging a ditch when (the Blessed Lady) Fatima came with a piece of bread for the Prophet (S). The Prophet asked her, “Where is this piece of bread from?” She replied, “I baked a loaf of bread for Al-Hassan and Al-Husayn and brought you a piece of it.” The Prophet (S) said, “This is the first piece of bread that has reached your father’s mouth after three nights and days.”
