135 - وَبِهذَا الإِسنادِ عَنْ عَلِىِّ بْنِ أَبِي طالِبٍ عَلَيْهِالسَّلامُ قالَ: جاءَ جِبْرَئِيلُ a.sُ إِلَى النَّبِيِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ فَقالَ: عَلَيْكُمْ بِالبَرنِيِّ فَإِنَّهُ خَيْرُ تُمُورِكُم يُقَربُّ مِنَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَيُباعِدُ مِنَ النَّارِ.

31-135 According to the same documentation, Ali ibn Abi Talib said, “Gabriel descended to the Prophet (S) and said, I advise you to eat ‘barni’ dates as they are the best type of your dates. That will help you get closer to the Honorable the Exalted God and get more distant from the Fire.”
