The Source of Traditions on Imam al-Riḍā (Vol 2) · Hadith 165 (#Ḥadīth #165)

165 - وَبِهذَا الإِسناد عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدعَلَيْهِمَاالسَّلاَمُ قالَ: سُئِلَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِىعَلَيْهِمَا السَّلاَمُ عَنِ الصَّلاة فِي السَّفَر، فَذَكَرَ أَن أَباهُ a.sُ كانَ يُقَصِّرُ الصَّلاةَ فِي السَّفَرِ.

31-165 According to the same documentation, on the authority of Ja’far ibn Muhammad that Muhammad ibn Ali was questioned about praying on a journey. He replied, “My father shortened his prayers while he was on a journey.”
