The Source of Traditions on Imam al-Riḍā (Vol 2) · Hadith 174 (#Ḥadīth #174)

174 - وَبِهذَا الإِسناد عَنْ عَلِىِّ بْنِ أَبِي طالِب عَلَيْهِالسَّلامُ قالَ: قالَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: إِنّي سُمِّيَتْ ابنَتي فاطِمَة لانَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَطَمَها وَفَطَمَ مَن أَحَبَّها مِنَ النَّارِ.

31-174 According to the same documentation, it is narrated that Ali ibn Abi Talib quoted on the authority of God’s Prophet (S), “I named my daughter (the Blessed Lady) Fatima because the Honorable the Exalted God ablactated her from the Fire. Also those who love her have been ablactated from the Fire.”
