The Source of Traditions on Imam al-Riḍā (Vol 2) · Hadith 341 (#Ḥadīth #341)

341 - وَبِهذَا الإسناد عَنْ عَلِىِّ بْنِ أَبِي طالِب عَلَيْهِالسَّلامُ قالَ: قالَ النَّبِي صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ يا عَلِيِّ إِذا طبخت شيئا فَأَكثر المرقة فَإِنَّها أَحَد اللحمين وَاغرف للجيران فَإِنْ لَمْ يصيبوا من اللَّحْمَ يصيبوا من المرق.

31-341 According to the same documentation, on the authority of Ali ibn Abi Talib the Prophet (S) said, “O Ali! Whenever you cook something (for charity), make more soup as it is one of the dishes made with meat and more of the neighbors can benefit from it. If they do not get a share of the meat, they can get some of the soup.”
