The Sufficient (Vol 1) · Hadith 1098 (#Ḥadīth #18)

18ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُمْهُورٍ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ جُنْدَبٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ عَنْ قَوْلِ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَلَقَدْ وَصَّلْنا لَهُمُ الْقَوْلَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ قَالَ إِمَامٌ إِلَى إِمَامٍ.

18. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu‘alla ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Jumhur from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from ‘Abdallah ibn Jundab who has said the following. “I asked abu al-Hassan about the words of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most gracious. “We sent Our guidance to them so that perhaps they might take heed.” (28:51) The Imam said, “It means the one Imam after the other.”
