The Sufficient (Vol 1) · Hadith 1101 (#Ḥadīth #21)

21ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَائِذٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أُذَيْنَةَ عَنْ مَالِكٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ قَالَ قُلْتُ لابِي عَبْدِ الله قَوْلُهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَأُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ هذَا الْقُرْآنُ لانْذِرَكُمْ بِهِ وَمَنْ بَلَغَ قَالَ مَنْ بَلَغَ أَنْ يَكُونَ إِمَاماً مِنْ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ فَهُوَ يُنْذِرُ بِالْقُرْآنِ كَمَا أَنْذَرَ بِهِ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه )

21. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated Mu‘alla ibn Muhammad `from al-Washsha’ from Ahmad ibn al-‘A’idh from ’Udhayna from Malik al-Juhanni who has said the following. “I asked abu ‘Abdallah about the words of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Gracious. “He has revealed this Quran to me to warn you and the coming generations (against disobeying God).. .” (6:19) The Imam said, “Whoever from the family of Muhammad (s.a.) would become an Imam he will warn people by means of the Holy Quran just as the the Messenger of Allah had done.”
