The Sufficient (Vol 1) · Hadith 1163 (#Ḥadīth #84)

84ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيِّ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله فِي قَوْلِهِ وَيَسْتَنْبِئُونَكَ أَ حَقٌّ هُوَ قَالَ مَا تَقُولُ فِي عَلِيٍّ قُلْ إِي وَرَبِّي إِنَّهُ لَحَقٌّ وَما أَنْتُمْ بِمُعْجِزِينَ.

84. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad al-Jawhari from certain persons of his people from abu ‘Abdallah about the words of Allah. “They ask you, “Is that true?”(The Imam said, “It means what do you say about Ali ?” Tell them, “It certainly is true. I swear by my Lord. You can not escape from God’s (retribution).” (10:53)
