Chapter 114 | The birth of al-Zahra’, Fatima

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from ibn al-Ri’ab from abu ‘Ubayda from abu ‘Abdallah who has said the following: “Fatima remained (alive) after (the death of) the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for seventy-five days. She experienced profound sorrow for her father. Jibril would visit her, console her over her father's loss, comfort her heart, inform her about her father and his whereabouts, and inform her of what would happen to her offspring after her. Ali used to document this.”
