7. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from ‘Abdallah ibn Muhammad al-Khashshab from ibn Sama‘a from Ali ibn al-Hassan ibn Ribat from ibn ’Udhayna from Zurara that he heard Abu Ja'far (al-Baqir) say: "The twelve Imams all from the family of Muhammad ﷺ. They are all muhadiths from the descendants of the Rasulullah and the descendants of Ali . Rasulullah and Ali are their ancestors.” So he (Zurarah) said, "Ali bin Rashid was the brother of Ali bin al-Husayn from his mother's side, but he (i.e. a man named Abdullah Ibn Zayd) denied this." So Abu Ja'far became angry and said, "Verily, the son of your mother was one of them."
