Chapter 130 | The Fay’, al-Anfal, al-Khums, its rules and the properties subject to al-Khums
6ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ يَقُولُ الانْفَالُ هُوَ النَّفْلُ وَفِي سُورَةِ الانْفَالِ جَدْعُ الانْفِ.
6. A number of our people has narrated Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Ali ibn abu Hamza from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following. “Al-Anfal means al-Nafl (optional). In this chapter, al-Anfal, stands the amputation of the nose (of enemies and proof of their humiliation).”
