The Sufficient (Vol 2) · Hadith 1073 (#Ḥadīth #7)

7ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَيَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْمَشَارَةَ فَإِنَّهَا تُورِثُ الْمَعَرَّةَ وَتُظْهِرُ الْمُعْوِرَةَ.

7. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Siyabah from Abu ‘Abdillah who has said the following: “Guard (yourself) against engaging in disputes; it causes losses and reveals defects.”
