Chapter 120 | Disputation, Quarrels and Animosity to Men
10ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) مَا أَتَانِي جَبْرَئِيلُ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَطُّ إِلا وَعَظَنِي فَآخِرُ قَوْلِهِ لِي إِيَّاكَ وَمُشَارَّةَ النَّاسِ فَإِنَّهَا تَكْشِفُ الْعَوْرَةَ وَتَذْهَبُ بِالْعِزِّ.
10. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn Mehran from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan from Abu ‘Abdillah who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Jibril (Gabriel) never came to me without advice and guidance. The last advice that he brought was: “Beware of engaging in disputations against men; it reveals the defects and eliminates one’s high regard.’”
