Chapter 124 | Arrogance

8ـ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الأشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ الْحُرِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الأعْلَى عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ الْكِبْرُ أَنْ تَغْمِصَ النَّاسَ وَتَسْفَهَ الْحَقَّ.

8. Abu Ali al-Ash’ari has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from ibn Faddal from Ali ibn ‘Uqbah from Ayyub ibn al-Hurr from ‘Abd al-‘Ala’ from Abu ‘Abdillah who has said the following: “Arrogance is when one belittles the people and calls the truth foolishness.”
