The Sufficient (Vol 2) · Hadith 1150 (#Ḥadīth #1)

1ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ مَا أَقْبَحَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِ أَنْ تَكُونَ لَهُ رَغْبَةٌ تُذِلُّهُ.

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from Ali ibn Hassan from those who narrated to him from Abu ‘Abdillah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah has said, ‘How disgraceful to a believer is a desire that humiliates him!”’
