The Sufficient (Vol 2) · Hadith 1188 (#Ḥadīth #2)

2ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) آفَةُ الْحَسَبِ الإفْتِخَارُ وَالْعُجْبُ.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfali from al-Sakuni from Abu ‘Abdillah who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘The misfortune for lineage is boastfulness and feeling self-important.’”
