The Sufficient (Vol 2) · Hadith 1232 (#Ḥadīth #4)

4ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَمَّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ إِنَّ الْكَذِبَ هُوَ خَرَابُ الإيمَانِ.

4. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from his father from those whom has mentioned (in his book) from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman from abu Layla’ from his father from abu Ja’far who has said the following: “Abu Ja’far has said, ‘Lying is the destruction ofbelief.”’
