Chapter 159 | Gossip Mongering

3ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الأصْبَهَانِيِّ عَمَّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) شِرَارُكُمُ الْمَشَّاءُونَ بِالنَّمِيمَةِ الْمُفَرِّقُونَ بَيْنَ الأحِبَّةِ الْمُبْتَغُونَ لِلْبُرَآءِ الْمَعَايِبَ.

3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Yunus from abu al- Hassan al-Asbahani from those whom has mentioned (in his book) from Abu ‘Abdillah who has said the following: “Amir al-Mu’minin, Ali ibn abu Talib has said, ‘The evil ones among you are those who spread gossip that causes separation among the loved ones, and seek to label the innocent with defects.’”
