Chapter 7 | Prayer before the fall of Misfortune
6. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu’alla ibn Muhammad from al- Washsha’ from those whom he has mentioned (in his book) from abu al-Hassan al-Awwal who has said the following: “Ali ibn al-Husayn would say, ‘Prayer and pleading before Allah for help after the fall of misfortune does not benefit one.’”
