Chapter 19 | Delay in the Acceptance of Prayer
2. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from Ahmad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Mansur al-Sayqal who has said the following: “Once I asked Abu ‘Abdillah ‘Is it possible that at one time a man prays and it is accepted and then is delayed for a period of time?’ The narrator has said that the Imam then said, ‘Yes, it can happen.’ I then asked, ‘Why is that? Is it because so he will increase his prayer and pleading?’ The Imam said, ‘Yes, that is right.’”
