The Sufficient (Vol 2) · Hadith 1717 (#Ḥadīth #11)

11ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ سَيْفِ بْنِ عَمِيرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) فَقَالَ أَجْعَلُ نِصْفَ صَلَوَاتِي لَكَ قَالَ نَعَمْ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَجْعَلُ صَلَوَاتِي كُلَّهَا لَكَ قَالَ نَعَمْ فَلَمَّا مَضَى قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) كُفِيَ هَمَّ الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ.

11. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Sayf ibn ‘Amirah from abu Bakr al- Hadrami who has said the following: “One who had heard Abu ‘Abdillah narrated to me that the Imam said, ‘Once a man came to the Messenger of Allah and said, “I assign half of my Salat (prayers) for you. The Messenger of Allah said, ‘That is fine.’ He then said, ‘I assign all of my Salat, to you.’ The Messenger of Allah said, ‘That is fine.’ When he left the Messenger of Allah said, ‘He is completely sufficed in his matters of this and the next life.’”
