The Sufficient (Vol 2) · Hadith 1860 (#Ḥadīth #1)

1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ جَمِيعاً عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ مَنْ قَالَ حِينَ يَأْخُذُ مَضْجَعَهُ ثَلاثَ مَرَّاتٍ الْحَمْدُ لله الَّذِي عَلا فَقَهَرَ وَالْحَمْدُ لله الَّذِي بَطَنَ فَخَبَرَ وَالْحَمْدُ لله الَّذِي مَلَكَ فَقَدَرَ وَالْحَمْدُ لله الَّذِي يُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى وَيُمِيتُ الأحْيَاءَ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ خَرَجَ مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ كَهَيْئَةِ يَوْمَ وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father and Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad have narrated from Ahmad ibn Ishaq all from Bakr ibn Muhammad from Abu ‘Abdillah who has said the following: “Whoever at the time of going to bed says three times, ‘All praise belongs to Allah, Who is High, thus, He is Dominant. All praise belongs to Allah, Who is hidden, thus, He knows. All praise belongs to Allah, Who owns, thus. He has measured (all things), all praise belongs to Allah, Who gives life to the dead, and causes the living to die, and He has power over all things,’ he will come out of sins just like the day he was born from his mother.’”
