Chapter 49 | Prayer Before Sleeping and After Waking Up
14ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ تَقُولُ إِذَا أَرَدْتَ النَّوْمَ اللهمَّ إِنْ أَمْسَكْتَ نَفْسِي فَارْحَمْهَا وَإِنْ أَرْسَلْتَهَا فَاحْفَظْهَا.
14. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from certain individuals of his people in a marfu ’ manner from Abu ‘Abdillah who has said the following: “When you are about to sleep say, ‘O Lord, if You holdback my soul from returning to my body, have mercy on it and if You will allow it to return, please protect it. ’”
