The Sufficient (Vol 2) · Hadith 1895 (#Ḥadīth #3)

3ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ يَقُولُ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءَيْنِ اللهمَّ بِيَدِكَ مَقَادِيرُ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَمَقَادِيرُ الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَمَقَادِيرُ الْمَوْتِ وَالْحَيَاةِ وَمَقَادِيرُ الشَّمْسِ وَالْقَمَرِ وَمَقَادِيرُ النَّصْرِ وَالْخِذْلانِ وَمَقَادِيرُ الْغِنَى وَالْفَقْرِ اللهمَّ بَارِكْ لِي فِي دِينِي وَدُنْيَايَ وَفِي جَسَدِي وَأَهْلِي وَوُلْدِي اللهمَّ ادْرَأْ عَنِّي شَرَّ فَسَقَةِ الْعَرَبِ وَالْعَجَمِ وَالْجِنِّ وَالإنْسِ وَاجْعَلْ مُنْقَلَبِي إِلَى خَيْرٍ دَائِمٍ وَنَعِيمٍ لا يَزُولُ.

3. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from his father in a marfu’ manner has said the following: “The Imam after ‘Isha ’ prayer would say, ‘O Lord, in Your hand are the measures of the night and day, the measures of this and the next world, the measures of death and life, the measures of the sun and moon, support and betrayal, and the measures of wealth and poverty. O Lord, grant me blessings in the matters of my religion, worldly life, my body, my family and children. O Lord, keep away from me the evil of Arabs, non-Arabs, Jinns and human beings. Make my return to everlasting good and permanent bounties.’”
