Chapter 55 | Supplication for Pain, Worries, Sadness and Fear

3ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ إِذَا نَزَلَتْ بِرَجُلٍ نَازِلَةٌ أَوْ شَدِيدَةٌ أَوْ كَرَبَهُ أَمْرٌ فَلْيَكْشِفْ عَنْ رُكْبَتَيْهِ وَذِرَاعَيْهِ وَلْيُلْصِقْهُمَا بِالأرْضِ وَلْيُلْزِقْ جُؤْجُؤَهُ بِالأرْضِ ثُمَّ لْيَدْعُ بِحَاجَتِهِ وَهُوَ سَاجِدٌ.

3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hisham ibn Salim from Abu ‘Abdillah who has said the following: “If one suffers from a misfortune, a hardship, or something causes him pain he should uncover his knees, and elbows and touch the ground with his chest then plead before Allah for help, in a prostrating position.’”
