Chapter 56 | Supplications for Healing Ailments and Diseases

16ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ مَرِضَ عَلِيٌّ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) فَأَتَاهُ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) فَقَالَ لَهُ قُلِ اللهمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ تَعْجِيلَ عَافِيَتِكَ وَصَبْراً عَلَى بَلِيَّتِكَ وَخُرُوجاً إِلَى رَحْمَتِكَ.

16. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from certain individuals of his people from abu Hamza from abu Ja’far who has said the following: “Once, Amir al-Mu’minin, Ali ibn abu Talib became ill. The Messenger of Allah visited him and said, ‘Say, O Lord, I plead before You for a quick recovery, (the ability to have) patience with misfortune from You and coming out of it into Your favors and mercy.”
