Chapter 57 | (Supplication for) Fortification and Protection
9ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُمْهُورٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) إِذَا لَقِيتَ السَّبُعَ فَقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ دَانِيَالَ وَالْجُبِّ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ أَسَدٍ مُسْتَأْسِدٍ.
9. Ali ibn has narrated from ibn Jumhur from his father from Muhammad ibn Sinan from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan from Abu ‘Abdillah who has said the following: “Amir al-Mu’minin, Ali ibn abu Talib has said, ‘If you come face to face with a beast say, ‘I seek protection with the Lord of Daniel and the well against the evil of all powerful lions.” Note: Daniel was thrown in a well with wild beasts but they did not harm him.
