The Sufficient (Vol 2) · Hadith 2126 (#Ḥadīth #15)

15ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ جُنْدَبٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ السِّمْطِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) عَنْ تَنْزِيلِ الْقُرْآنِ قَالَ اقْرَءُوا كَمَا عُلِّمْتُمْ.

15. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ali ibn al- Hakam from ‘Abd Allah ibn Jundab from Sufyan ibn al-Samt who has said the following: “Once I asked Abu ‘Abdillah ‘How was the Holy Quran revealed?’ The Imam said, ‘Recite as you have been taught.’’’
