The Sufficient (Vol 2) · Hadith 88 (#Ḥadīth #2)

2ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ مُدْرِكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) الإسْلامُ عُرْيَانٌ فَلِبَاسُهُ الْحَيَاءُ وَزِينَتُهُ الْوَقَارُ وَمُرُوءَتُهُ الْعَمَلُ الصَّالِحُ وَعِمَادُهُ الْوَرَعُ وَلِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ أَسَاسٌ وَأَسَاسُ الإسْلامِ حُبُّنَا أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ. عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَعْبَدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ مُدْرِكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) مِثْلَهُ.

2. It is narrated from him from his father from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Qasim from Mudrik ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman from Abu ‘Abdillah who has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Islam is bare. Its dress is bashfulness, dignity is its ornament, virtuous deeds are its kindness and strict following of law is its support. Everything has a foundation. The foundation of Islam is loving us, Ahl al- Bayt .’” Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ali ibn Ma’bad from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Qasim from Murik ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman from abu ‘Abd Allah : a similar Hadith.
