Chapter 106 | The Severity of the Trial of a Believer
6ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عُلْوَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَعِنْدَهُ سَدِيرٌ إِنَّ الله إِذَا أَحَبَّ عَبْداً غَتَّهُ بِالْبَلاءِ غَتّاً وَإِنَّا وَإِيَّاكُمْ يَا سَدِيرُ لَنُصْبِحُ بِهِ وَنُمْسِي.
6. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from Ahmad ibn ‘Ubayd from al-Husayn ibn ‘Ulwan from Abu ‘Abdillah who has said the following: “Sadir was present when the Imam said, ‘When Allah loves a servant He deeply immerses him in misfortunes. You and we, O Sadir, live in it mornings and evenings.’”
