Chapter 106 | The Severity of the Trial of a Believer

19ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ نُعَيْمٍ الصَّحَّافِ عَنْ ذَرِيحٍ الْمُحَارِبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ كَانَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ (عَلَيهِما السَّلام) يَقُولُ إِنِّي لأكْرَهُ لِلرَّجُلِ أَنْ يُعَافَى فِي الدُّنْيَا فَلا يُصِيبَهُ شَيْءٌ مِنَ الْمَصَائِبِ.

19. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Husayn ibn Nu’aiim al-Sahhaf from Dhurayh al-Muharibi from Abu ‘Abdillah who has said the following: “Ali ibn al-Husayn has said, ‘I do not like a person’s (total freedom from) suffering in the world from misfortunes.’”
