Chapter 18 | Commencement of Adhan, Iqamah, and the Excellence of Reading them
5ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ قَالَ يَا زُرَارَةُ تَفْتَتِحُ الأذَانَ بِأَرْبَعِ تَكْبِيرَاتٍ وَتَخْتِمُهُ بِتَكْبِيرَتَيْنِ وَتَهْلِيلَتَيْنِ.
5. Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from Flammad ibn ‘Isa from Hariz from Zurarah who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far , once said, ‘O Zurarah, begin Adhan with four Takbir (Allah is great beyond description) and end it with two Takbir (Allah is great beyond description) and two Tahlil, (no one deserves worship except Allah).”’
