Chapter 18 | Commencement of Adhan, Iqamah, and the Excellence of Reading them
7. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Hariz from Zurarah who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far , has said, ‘When you say Adhan say Alif and al-Ha’ (two letters of Arabic alphabet) clearly and say O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause whenever you mention his name or someone else mentions his name in Adhan or in other expressions.’”
