Chapter 18 | Commencement of Adhan, Iqamah, and the Excellence of Reading them

11ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ قَالَ لاَ بَأْسَ أَنْ يُؤَذِّنَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ غَيْرِ وُضُوءٍ وَلاَ يُقِيمُ إِلاَّ وَهُوَ عَلَى وُضُوءٍ.

11. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following: “He (the Imam) , has said, ‘It is not harmful if a man says Adhan without Wudu’ but he does not say ‘Iqamah without it.’”
