Chapter 16 | Rinsing One’s Mouth and Nostrils

1ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ حَكَمِ بْنِ حُكَيْمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْمَضْمَضَةِ وَالاسْتِنْشَاقِ أَ مِنَ الْوُضُوءِ هِيَ قَالَ لاَ.

1. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu‘alla’ ibn Muhammad from al-Washsha’ from Hammad ibn ‘Uthman from Hakam ibn Hukaym who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah , ’Is rinsing one’s mouth and nostrils part of Wudu’?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘No, they are not part of Wudu’.’”
