The Sufficient (Vol 3) · Hadith 1155 (#Ḥadīth #35)

35ـ جَمَاعَةٌ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الْجَعْفَرِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ أَذِّنْ فِي بَيْتِكَ فَإِنَّهُ يَطْرُدُ الشَّيْطَانَ وَيُسْتَحَبُّ مِنْ أَجْلِ الصِّبْيَانِ.

35. A group has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Sulayman al-Ja‘fariy who has said the following: “I once heard him (the Imam ), say, ’Recite the Adhan in your house, for it repels Satan and it is a beloved thing to do for the sake of children.’”
