Chapter 20 | The Opening Readings When Commencing Salah (prayer)
3ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ قَالَ أَدْنَى مَا يُجْزِئُ مِنَ التَّكْبِيرِ فِي التَّوَجُّهِ تَكْبِيرَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ وَثَلاَثُ تَكْبِيرَاتٍ أَحْسَنُ وَسَبْعٌ أَفْضَلُ.
3. It is a narration from him (narrator of previous Hadith) by his father Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Hariz from Zurarah who has said the following: “He (the Imam) , has said, ‘The least for Takbir (Allah is great beyond description) facing (al-Qiblah (al-Ka‘bah)) is to say it once. Three times is good and seven times is better.”’
